About Sankara Eye Hospital
Sankara Eye Hospital traces its origins to an eye department founded in 1994, which grew into a fully dedicated eye hospital in 1997. With campuses in Nanganallur (2004) and Samarjhola, Odisha (2016), and 45 Vision Centers across various locations under both Pammal and Samarjhola, they have screened 3,300,000 patients and performed 400,000+ surgeries — with 80% provided completely free of charge to patients who cannot afford care.

🌟 New Milestone: Sankara Eye Hospital Opened in Saharsa, Bihar
Sri Kanchi Kamakoti Guruparampara Sankara Eye Hospital, Saharsa was inaugurated on 30th April 2026 in a grand function graced by the Shankaracharya Swamigal, Sri Girijraj Singh (Hon’ble Union Minister of Textiles), and senior officials from the Government of Bihar. This landmark facility will provide comprehensive eye care — including cataract surgeries, retinal treatments, glaucoma management, and vision screenings — to thousands of patients across the Saharsa district and neighboring regions.
